MISSION STATEMENT OF WOMEN'S MINISTRIES:

  

Our mission is to nurture and enable women of our church to use their unique gifts and talents to serve one another in love and bring others to a saving relationship with Him.

Special Fellowship Events

Several times during the year we sponsor events for women such as Girl's Night Out (bowling, clutter auction, Bunco, etc.), Calvary Crafters, Joyful Journey of Homes, Christmas Ornament Exchange, Women's Get-Away Weekends, and a Spring Tea.

WOW (Women of the Word Bible Study)



All women are invited to attend one of our Women’s Bible Studies here at Calvary. Come and see how biblical truths can be applied to a woman’s world. We offer dynamic programs for women who enjoy building relationships and have the desire to make Jesus Christ the center of their lives. Please consider this your personal invitation to come and share the Word with your sisters in Christ this year. Studies run from September to June. Come join us!



Tuesday Bible study is at 9:30 AM in the library.

"God; as He longs for you to see Him"

Women's Annual Get-Away Weekend

Our next Annual Women's Get Away Weekend was held March 15-17, 2024 at the Cannon Beach Conference Center. We had a great weekend of worship, refreshing, relationship building, and fun! We hope you'll join us again next year! 


Our next retreat will be Mar 14-16, 2025. See you there!



Quilting retreats

Please join us for our bi-annual quilting and needlework weekends. Every October and April we sew for a weekend (Friday & Saturday). Learn to make a quilt in a weekend (sweatshop weekend of staying up late and starting early). If you have a needlework project or quilt of your own, bring it along. This is Calvary Community Church’s answer to the old fashioned quilting bee. We welcome you with bolts of fabric and lots of love. As you piece your quilt together you will also be piecing friendships. The quilts and the friendships will last a lifetime!

Our Spring Quilt & Needlework Weekend is scheduled for April 19-20, 2024.


Missionary Guilds

Calvary Community Church has two Missionary Guilds, BYKOTA, & Dorcas, designed to compliment the different interests of women. Each Guild is formed to support missionaries locally and abroad. New members are welcome at any time. A special joy is found in the close fellowship that comes as ladies work together for the Lord. Won't you join one of these groups?


BYKOTA (Be Ye Kind One To Another)

The BYKOTA Missionary Guild is made up of women, like Martha in the Gospel of Luke, who love to serve others. This group’s special ministry is to oversee wedding and funeral receptions as well as other church dinners. Meets the first Thursday of every month at 11:30 AM. 


Dorcas

Like Dorcas in the Bible, these women sew for others. They have made over 100 quilts for Thailand, Russia, Mexico, Caring Pregnancy Center, local nursing homes, and others in need. The Dorcas ladies meet each Thursday from 10 am - 12 pm at the church (September through May) to fellowship and to work on sewing projects. They are currently working on projects in the Fireside Room.
